I was pleased to purchase the CB-10 crystal cruet set from Abbott Church Supplies, especially since it was offered at the discounted price of $375 (regularly $485), and I received an additional 10% off, bringing the total to $351. Given the premium price — which one expects to pay for high-quality liturgical ware — I naturally anticipated that both cruets would be flawless and perfectly matched.
Unfortunately, the set fell short of the standard I expected from Abbott Church Supplies. One cruet had visible scratches or tooling marks inside the neck (apparently from boring the opening to fit the stopper), and the handles on the two cruets were noticeably different in thickness. These imperfections make the set appear slightly mismatched and detract from the otherwise beautiful design.
While the cruets are still usable and attractive, the visible flaws are disappointing at this price point. I hope Abbott will tighten quality control on future pieces.
