10 Piece Wood Carved Nativity with Tyrol Stable - Kostner by Pema

After years of consideration, I finally decided to splurge and purchase the Kostner Nativity. I first became aware of the set several years ago while shopping at The Christmas Store in Colonial Williamsburg. At the time, it was just not within my budget. The Kostner pieces are expensive; however, if you love Christmas as much as I do, it's worth the consideration. The figures are expertly carved and meticulously painted. The only reason I didn't give it a five-star rating is because the angel seems out of proportion to the other figurines, somewhat smaller. When I checked various sites, she appears to be the same as the others. She looks as though she belongs with a smaller size. I purchased the 10-piece set because of the size of the stable; the other stables were just too large. I purchased the other pieces--animals, kings, shepherds--separately on another site. Overall, I'm extremely pleased and happy that I was finally able to purchase a Kostner Nativity Set.
