It appears that candle wicks (perhaps made from cotton, but for wax candles) do not work with oil candlesticks, as that’s what we tried first. Then we found these fiberglass wicks with the threaded metal tips that worked perfectly. In the future, we just need to clean the tips off every so often, rather than shortening them. Easy to order, arrived in a short amount of time, easy to use. Thanks!
